I got a job! A decent job at that. I work 1-7PM Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays at the nursing home in the kitchen. I help cook, serve trays, make drinks, puree food (that is really really disgusting), clean, wash dishes, put dishes away, etc.. it sounds hard but it really isn't and we're basically busy the whole time so it's not like I'm not doing anything which is good. I'm just so grateful to have a job because I have been praying about it pretty desperately. It really is hard to find a good job. I get paid 6.55 an hour which yea it's minimum wage but it's not bad. I calculated it per week and it's about $155 a week which is better then nothing and will more then cover my expenses and everything.
I now have my spring schedule worked out;
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I have Equine Reproduction from 8AM-10AM. Tuesday and Thursdays I will have a class starting at 9:30 (Algebra), followed directly by Agricultural Economy (11:00), then Speech (12:30), and Horsemanship II (3:30). This schedule will pretty much leave me open to be able to do Drama Team still and Youth Councils and who knows what else ;) This is my final semester in college coming up! Then it's really time to find a really good job so I can get my own place to live, and a life of my own. Its weird but I'm actually looking forward to it because it'll be a major accomplishment.
We went to the Hay Maze last night with the kids. There's the pumpkins.
This is about the best I could get of them altogether. These are my nieces Savannah is the one looking away, Allie is the oldest and Bethany has her mouth wide open.
Just Bethany
Just Savannah... she was fussy
Savannah again
Bethany and Savannah together in the pumpkins
Allie has gotten TALL in the last year
Ashlee thinking she's all that.
Taylor is a sweet girl
Kelena, another one who has really grown a lot. Bethany would not look at the camera at all
Savannah's best picture of the day I think
Taylor and the horse. This turned out really good actually
Alley on the horse, not as good as Taylor and the horse but it's ok
and this is the end of the day, back home and I had to get this picture of Bethany's wild and crazy hairdo. Oh and my parents were visiting and I took these two of my mom with the kids:
The second one turned out really good actually with the babies both looking at the camera.
Sorry I meant to post yesterday too but my parents are here! It's been so great to spend time with them! I've missed them loads. Since they've been here Mom's cooked dinner twice and breakfast once! It's so awesomely cool. We had part one of a yard sale today and the 2nd part tomorrow. We've made quite a bit of money and its actually been fun to have it. I think we should have another one sometime. We've gotten rid of SO MUCH stuff! It's crazy what people will buy. I will post more later. Right now I'm tired and doing other stuff lol.
One of the most important things about freelance blogging is to choose a topic and just type. For today I am just going to type about websites, designs, graphics and blogging. Weird I know but these are things I'm thinking about as I start doing these things. Oh also if you are needing a website design or a graphic design please let me know (privately would be best) and I will definitely be interested in working for you for a small fee. My fees will start around $20 and go from there. I am guessing for $20 you will get a small graphic, with simple special effects that you choose from a provided list of options, a simple layout with a wonderful design. You will get several samples to choose the design that you like best. For the next level it will be $40 and you will get a medium sized graphic with some effects that you choose from my list as well as a layout and design that match what you are going for. Again you will get several samples to choose the design you like best. The pricing will keep raising. I know it might sound expensive but the money would help pay for my time spent, upgrading software and the eventual release of my own web business which is what I want to do full time. I know it sounds crazy but I honestly think this is the way to go for now. With this type of business I will be able to make money, do what I really enjoy doing and still have time to do what I want.
The next phase will be to design websites for you. A simple 1-5 page website will cost you $150 max. You will get a variety of options to choose from and we would discuss everything. After 5 pages it will be an additional $25 per page. The thing is is your paying for my time and expertise in this area. That's you want after all right?
So if you've gotten this far you must think I'm that crazy. Here's where you think I sound it. I want to do this full time professionally. A few years ago I went through SOTC's Web and Graphic Design program and fell in love with everything I could do. I could sit at my computer and design anything from a simple website and/or graphic as well as simple videos, flash games and everything in between. Since then I've really thought about going into this some more. And the best part about it all is I'd like to keep it very Christ based. I will refuse to do anything that I believe to be to secular. After all by putting to much secular things on the web you make it more unsafe for children and I believe that the kids are most important and the more safer envronments they can access online will be awesome. I am really totally rambling now. I will try to post a link to the website I want to use as my temporary home soon.
